Janet B. Reid, Ph.D. Dr. Janet B. Reid is a Principal Partner and co-founder of Global Lead Management Consulting. She is a proven leader in developing and implementing successful leadership; diversity/inclusion; marketing; teambuilding; and strategic change initiatives in major corporations. Her particular expertise is in shaping corporate strategy and developing quantitative and qualitative measures of bottom line benefits. She has also been a consultant and coach to numerous top executives and is often a keynote presenter on the subject of women in corporate America and issues of diversity and inclusion. Dr. Reid has worked with Global Lead in numerous countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Dr. Reid’s prior professional experience includes 10 years at Procter & Gamble where she held a series of progressively more responsible positions including that of research chemist, section head, and brand manager. Prior to Procter & Gamble, she taught chemistry at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Reid earned her Ph.D. in BioInorganic Chemistry from Howard University in 1979. She is a member of numerous professional associations. Her extensive board service includes being the first woman and first person of color to be chair of the board of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce in the over 160 years of its existence. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, of which she was the first board chairperson; Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC); Catholic Healthcare Partners, Inc.; the TomPetersComapny!; the Collaborative Law Center; the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority; and the YWCA of Cincinnati.Dr. Reid has earned many honors and awards, including being named: in Who’s Who in Black Cincinnati (2004 and 2005); the Speaking of Women's Health National Honoree (2002); one of SuccessGuide’s Top Achievers (1998-99); one of the Cincinnati Enquirer's Women of the Year (1996); a member of Leadership Cincinnati (1993); a YMCA Black Achiever in 1991; and, a YWCA Career Woman of Achievement (1989). Her consulting firm received the Fifth Third Bank and Small Business News Enterprise Awards' Business of the Year Award in 1996. Dr. Reid has also received the Leading Women: Entrepreneur's Award ( 1998) and Procter & Gamble Product Development's Pioneering Black Woman Award (2004)
